Bad habits

i am talking about bad thinking habits.
ways of thinking that we learned in order to survive, bad ways of thinking that we learned because of wrong information/wrong beliefs that we had.

I procrastinate - same reasons as damselfly - I think I'm not good enough etc Also I'm scared I'll probably get it wrong and make myself look even more stupid than I already feel so why bother? I usually have to rehearse any scenario in my head for anything up to a week before I actually do anything.
I also used to swear - boy I could turn the air blue! I used to work on a factory 'shop floor' where bad language was the norm, so it was a survival tactic really - you had to give as good as you got. I then had to unlearn it when I started working in an office environment where bad language was less acceptable. Still have the occasional slip though...

Dansk is going to the hospital...
by under74 innext week dansk (ian) is going into the hospital to start chemotherapy.
although i wish i would have thought of this before--ian mentioned on this week's vigil thread it would lift his spirits to receive cards from us on the forum.

For me, the universe and everything in it is a miracle - regardless of the question of whether a God created it or not, regardless of the natural disasters that happen (not the man inflicted bad) - they are part of the miraculous too.
Every single breath you take is a miracle.

we had a guy like that in the lab where I used to work. He was always in a bad mood, had a grudge against the whole world. The problem was compounded by the fact that he used to take pro-plus washed down with Red Bull so he was just hyper all the time.
When he started slamming the glassware around we all ran for cover!! It makes the working day more interesting though don't you think?
